Savannah Quinn
Ms. Quinn's Homeroom Class List
Ms. Quinn is one of our fabulous Reading and Writing teachers in Grade 4! It is her fifth year teaching at Somerset ES. She graduated from Salisbury University in 2016 with a B.S. in Elementary Education, minoring in Psychology. She hopes to obtain a Master's Degree in Administration within the next few years.
Hillary Reed
Ms. Reed's Homeroom Class List
Ms. Reed also teaches Reading and Writing, two of her passions. She has been teaching 4th grade at Somerset since 2012. She grew up outside of Buffalo, NY, graduated from the University of Maryland (GO TERPS!), then spent time living in NYC while getting her master's in Childhood Special Education from Hunter College. Her favorite thing about teaching is learning and laughing alongside her students. She also loves to get lost in a good book (of course!), and spending time with her adorable whippet-lab mix, Howie.
Meghan Rivera
Mrs. Rivera will be returning to 4th grade to teach science, social studies, and math. This is her fourth year in MCPS but her 12th year as a teacher. She attended Catholic University for undergrad and received her master's in
Education at Marymount University. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and being outdoors. Mrs Rivera can't wait to meet her new students!

Last but not least, Mrs. Treat (formerly Ms. Pickar) is back teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies! Mrs. Treat has been teaching fourth grade at Somerset since 2012. She also teaches a graduate course on math methods at George Washington University. In her spare time, Mrs. Treat loves to read, take her dog Norma for walks, and spend time with her husband. She is looking forward to another fantastic year at Somerset Elementary School!
